Why co creative Feng Shui?
Feng Shui, Chinese for “Wind and Water”, has been in ancient China 5000 BC the art to observe, sense and evaluate earth energies, the forces and manifestations of nature in its diversity present at any location. People then were aware of the various influences of the environment on their life. They were observing the movement of energy named chi in China or prana in India, vital energy, in all of life and its flow through everything. It helped them to find places for their dwelling that would serve as a good home or successful business. In the western hemisphere this art is known as Geomancy.

The relationship of ancient cultures to their environment
In ancient times humans were intimately attuned to their environment – relying on nature for their most immediate and basic survival. Indigenous people all over the planet would counsel the four forces of nature: Air, Water, Fire, and Earth. They were in constant communication with the spirit and the land to find water, nourishment for themselves and their animals, protection, and good locations for settlement. They honoured and respected the influences of their environment in their daily lives.

Placement with Intention – The Art of Feng Shui
As a child I have always been fascinated by the light that falls onto the trees in a forest, the vibrant green colour, the leaf structure that is revealed with the light illuminating the leaves, the abundance of leaves -- layers and layers building a shelter; and the many shades of green that turn to yellows, oranges, reds and finally browns in the autumn. According to the feng shui concept, I am a Wood Snake and I can say I feel totally at home in the forest. Leaning on trees, lying on their roots, hugging them is coming home, being one, knowing I am okay.

Clearing stagnancy
What holds us back to be in goodness?
It seems like there are these places in our home that always gather clutter more than others. In my own home it is 1st of all the dining table as that is the first surface to drop the amounts of post and newspapers that enter our house everyday. When the papers are there, we leave other things and in no time the table is a mess. Then there is my office table, especially the one that is in the walkway of the room. Where are your dumping areas of the house located?

The heart of the home - the Kitchen
Where are we hanging out when we are gathered in a party: in the kitchen. For thousands of years the fire in the middle of a home whether a tent, a hut or a house has been the place where a meal would bring people together and share in union, friendship, laughter, news and building relationships. In previous conversations on the important areas of a harmonious house, I talked about three significant spaces: the entrance, the bedroom and the third is the kitchen. When its setting, atmosphere and functionality are nurturing it makes the home into more of a sanctuary. Nourishing food and drink becomes an important value for body, mind and soul.

Being in joy through an ancient art form
Utterly silent and concentrated, everybody is totally absorbed looking into exploring the forms appearing out of the ancient archetypal pattern of the seed of life. We are in a one day class of painting Mandala’s with sacred geometry. My heart is moved I feel like crying of joy.
